I bought two pair when they first hit the market. They lasted one day on the water. Took them off and gave them away. I just did not like the feel. I prefer knobs with no texture. Daiwa's smooth cork knobs are my favorite.

Just my opinion. Many people love those grips. Buy one pair and find out for yourself.

I have them on every reel that I own.  I love them.  Cannot use a reel without them.

I use different colors on various reels to identify the type reel laying on the deck.

I bought a pair a few years ago, used them for a day and then took em off.  Just didn't feel right to me.  I prefer non textured grips as well but that's just me.

Im partial to the EVA knobs. they feel the bast to me

I too tryed one set on a TD Sol.... Gone after a day.. Gave them too my son... He trashed them after a month... I just really like shimanos knobs best.. Hands down

Absolutely give them a try! You may find you like them! Lotta folks do...

Good luck..

They are nice for bling factor and are fairly comfortable. Functionality wise they serve no added purpose but some like the feel better than rubber knobs. Defiantly worth tryin a pair to see if they are right for you.

I have them on all my reels but I like the foam handles on the lighter reels that have been coming out lately even better.

For those of you who do not like the texture of it, can you flip them inside out and use it? Wouldnt it kinda be cushioned? I dont have any, so I am not sure if its possible to flip them inside out or not. Just a thought

My hands slipped on non textured reel knobs, I got reel grips and it improved my grip.

I like them, but can be a pain to put on certain knobs.

I have a few reels with them. They are ok,but expensive for what the are. Walmarts now selling them for 2.97 made bt someone else. They look exactly the same,i grabbed a few sets of those to try. Both grips make the handles bigger which i like.I also use them to id rod andreels at a glance.

Had them on a few times and hated them and gave them away. For me when my hands were slightly wet they seem more slippery instead of being grippy. Maybe I got a bad brand but it came with the reel.

IMO Shimanos power grip knobs are kind of ugly but they are by far the most comfy.

If you never get them, you won't want them.  That said.......... I've gone over 40 years without them, and I recently put them on my reels and they are awesome.  Most of my reels are older Shimanos and the newer Citica E's which have small knobs as well.  These new grips were one of my winter reel projects.   They make the grip larger and easier to grab.  Their colors are really good.   They do really add some bling.  I matched my "Greenies" with the camo color (Black, Green, Yellow) my silver Citica 200E's with Black and White and my Pearl Chronarch 100A with the royal blue.   They look incredible.   I used one for about two hours in the rain today and it felt pretty darn good.  Don't think I'll go back.  That said, if I had a reel with bigger grips, I probably would not add them.

I think I am going to try them.  Putting them on my White Revo S.  Thinking Red, but may go Red/Black/White.  What color you all think? Probably gonna put a red rod wrap on the handle of the rod, to help it stick out even more on the deck so i can find it quick

I have not looked at the white Revo closely, but you are on the right idea.  Red handle with red wrap would look good.

I have them on all my reels.  I love them personally. I will be putting bass1980's theory to work.  With Shimano going to a different color in the Curado, I will be purchasing my first Shimano baitcasters this year.  I'll wind up with at least 4 by years end.

only tried them in the store. never though about buying them though. might give them a try on my spining set ups,  they look pretty good

Depending on the size of the grips on your spinning set-up you might wanna check out the X-model reel grip. Supposed to have a smaller inner diameter to accommodate more spinning reels. Good luck finding a retailer that carries the X though. Nobody in the Indy Metro area does... :/

Haha. You and me both, brother... Cabin fever is at an all-time high.

I do not have them on my curado 200E models, but I do have them on the 50E's and the citica 200E models. I love the shimano power grips, and would use only those if all the above reels had them.
