I'm in the market for a good medium power moderate action rod. I have done some searching and there seems not to be many to chose from. Anyone have any suggestions? Like to stay around 100 dollar range

If you're patient and shop around you might find this rod "gently used"

Falcon BuCoo, specifically the BCC 4-17 model, it is a 7' medium power, moderate action, that is a very light rod but it tops out at the 1/2oz lure rating but anything in that range it handles really well.

I think im picking up either a Clarus or a Compre M MF during the rod trade in this weekend. I like how they felt in store and im happy with the Shimano rods that I already own.

The BPS Carbonlite rod comes in a medium-moderate and for the money it is a really excellent rod.

I never realized that. I may add that to my list too.

Id take a look at the Denali Kovert line.  They have a 6'10" medium moderate action rod that is really nice imo.

Im gonna give the mojo glass a shot, if I dont fall in love with it I am gonna try the much lower price powell deisel

This rod is outstanding and I got one for your price for practically brand new so deals are out there if not the st croix mojo bass lineup has an awesome cranking stick line within the mojo bass line. It depends what you want graphite go with the avid glass go with the mojo

I have two of the Falcon Bucco 7m's and use them for cranks and spinnerbaits.  My main question would be what your planned usage for the rod is?  If it's cranking then you can probably find a BPS "Cranking Stick" composite rod in the rating you're looking for as well as different rod lengths.  The Bucco is right about $110-129 depending on the guides(regular or micro).

I'd go with a glass composite for cranking.  Looking to get one of the BPS Crankin Stick's this weekend (or 2) with the rod trade in.  If you go graphite, I'd look at something in an IM6 as they are a softer graphite blank.

Academy carries an ethos composite cranking rod in 7' MM. Normally $59 but goes on sale at times for $39. I'll be getting one when they go on sale.

The Daiwa Tatula comes in a 7 foot medium regular and can be had for around 100 bucks

I really love my TD-S661MRB. It's the Daiwa "green stick" and it is a Fiberglass cranking rod.

I use a St Croix saltwater 7'6" MM power rod for crankbaits up to 1/2 oz in open water situations.  It cost right around $100 new 10 years ago.  Throws long, has the right flex, and is fairly sensitive.  Depending on the weight of the crankbaits you use, their Mojo series inshore rods are probably the modern equivalent at around $130.

Can the bucoo easily handle lure weights of 1/2 oz? How does the bucoo medium compare to a St. Croix medium power?

 

To the OP, take a look at the Lew's david fritts cranking rod, st. croix avid, st. croix premier cranking, carbonlite, abu veritas winch, and even the tatula.

Hmmm. That's a tall order, some decent options listed here. My only input, save for a Saint Croix Avid AVC70MM. You might be able to find a used copy in your budget.
