First Bass Of 2014

Featured Replies

After thunderstorms all night last night I hit the local pond this morning and caught this guy!  Biggest fish I've caught so far.  Maybe 4-5lbs?  I'm still such a noob when it comes to judging just by seeing them.

Did you measure it's length? Looks more like a 3-3.5 from the picture to me but it's always hard to tell with pictures like that.

Bluebasser seems right on the weight. None the less a good fish. The first of the season is always one of the most exciting.

That could very well be a 4 pound fish, The fish may be perpendicular with the ground but the angle of the camera could be making it look rather shorter... Looks smaller than 4 to me but who knows, great fish regardless!

Even if it's not 4 or 5lbs still a great fish to start off the year!
