Nowadays I'm much more aware of danger from over exposure to the sun's rays. Using sunscreen on my face always seems to end up stinging my eyes. That situation has ruined more than a few days of fishing for me. I've found a sunscreen that won't burn the eyes. It's zinc based but clear instead of white. It's called Z Blok. I'm just passing this along in case some of you have found yourselves in similar situations.

Personally I try not to put the sunscreen above the eyes as I wear my hat low.  Number two I never rub eyes outside.  Two many things like dirt, pollen etc can be on hands and irritate eyes.

I agree with Oregon Native.  Sunscreen for below the eyes.  Nothing worse then buring eyes from sweat and sunscreen.  Dont forget the nose and ears though. 

Could always opt for a buff.

Billed hat and a buff is the way to go for face/neck protection. I hate putting sunblock on my face. Being a contact wearer, if I get sunscreen infused sweat in my eyes it's game over. Wearing a buff has fixed that problem completely and I never get burned. Just a little sunblock on the top of my ears, nose, and under my eyes and I'm set.

I found that using the Coppertone Kids SPF 50 works for me. No burning eyes from it.

Never burn on my forehead just nose and cheeks. I use a panama jack spf50 stick for right below my sunglasses. Besides that i throw a buff on.

For the past couple of years I have been wearing a wide brim straw hat.
