Featured Replies

I see they came out with this great worm again. I did grow up fishing this worm. I was at Bass Pro last weekend and I bought a bunch.I fish at night alot and I know that they will be a BIG hit this summer! My go to colors were black and black grape. Anyone else?

I seem to remember Paul Elias breaking the all-time weight record on Falcon with the aid of these worms in Watermelon Red......

I bought a pack of them at the bps in vegas, we dont have them here! I got watermellon! you guys rig them texas?

If you are reffering to the way Mr. Elias rigged them while on Falcon, it was a Carolina rig....... Hope this helps.

I dunno, that seems kinda... well, backwards. Seems to me like they should make woman's perfume with that scent. Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty liberal guy, and all, but I'd be afraid of what might happen on a long tournament weekend with that.

(The above is written tongue in cheek, entirely.  It is not meant to be offensive, serious, sarcastic, or in any war derogatory.  If you took it that way, well, that's ok too.  I'll write another disclaimer later.)

You made a good point! I did not think of it that way!Lets go with a woman's perfume, I would bite my wife all the time!lol

I have a pack of the 12" grape and a pack of the 8" strawberry. I had forgot about them but, I'll throw a few next outing.

How do y'all fish these? I was weightless texas rigging and just slowly dragging them along. Does that sound right?

YES!  They had these on the shelf in KC BPS last year and it was a welcome sight.  I toss them at night in the summer in Black Grape.  I go with the 9" version in a lighter color during the day and flip em into laydowns and pole timber.  Great worm and a definite big fish bite.

The truth is that it has never been out of production, only out of sight and out of sight ends up being out of mind and out of availability, just like Mann 's Augertail ( another great bait ), I my most productive colors have been blackberry ( black ) , black grape ( dark purple ) and marmalade ( motor oil ... anybody still fishes motor oil ?   :-/ )

The only novelty is that now they have been incorporated to the Hard Nose series.

Anyone have any luck with the Blueberry color?? I bought some last year but have never thrown the Blueberry color

X2 ;D

Im planning on picking a few packs up, but not sure which size and color. I will be fishing Kentucky lake with the worms this spring and summer in the night and day.  You all think Black Grape in both sizes and Watermelon Red in both sizes is a good choice?  What size hooks do you all throw these on?

In the early 80's. Not the best color for me. Black grape was always my favorite. I caught my first worm fish on a Mann's. Worm fishing with a 5 1/2 foot rod was a treat. Once the brushhog came out the worm just died.

Yes! One of my favorite colors. Not as easy to find a motoroil colored worm as it used to be. I've caught a lot of fish on the 8" black jellyworm, still have some somewhere.

Awesome bait. I have caught some huge bass on the watermelon red 8''. I've also caught bass that were 6 inches long on the 8'' jellies.
