I fish a lot of senko and soft plastic baits. Also I have been told my trusty Palomar knot is not so great on fluorocarbon. Please educate me on fluorocarbon and a good solid knot that won't burn the line thanks guys!

I use Seaguar InvizX (8lb - 20lb Test) and the Trilene Knot.

 

As for burning the line you need to make sure to moisten the line before cinching it down.  

Oh yes I'm no stranger to a good knot I was just warned that the Palomar knot tends to burn fluorocarbon regardless.

If cost is of no concern, Tatsu is the finest fluorocarbon I have fished. 

Otherwise, Seaguar InvizX for spinning tackle and AbrazX for baitcasting.

The Uni-knot has been my knot of choice for decades, but now I have a uni-knot variation to try...thanks RW.

My favorite so far is Sunline Sniper FC.  As far as a knot... Best I've used is a San Diego Jam knot.  One thing I like about the San Diego Jam is if you tie it wrong, it breaks when you cinch it.

Tatsu for all around, Shooter for rocks and timber. I use an improved clinch on everything and have never had a problem. Just keep it wet when you tie it.

I may be wrong but isn't the Duncan Knot the same as a Uni Knot? The Pitzen Knot looks like a completely different knot than the Uni.

 

To the OP...Tatsu and a Uni Knot. Wet the knot and slide it down first before you tighten.

 

The last time that I fished a Senko on Fluorocarbon, 15# Tatsu, the Senko sank like a rock! Senkos' will be fished on braid from now on.

Definetley the San Diego Jam its super easy to tie and incredibley strong. Actually I tested the knot strength of a couple knots last night. The Sandiego Jam had a breaking strenght of around 88-94%, the improve clinch knot at 83-85% and the Uni at around 77-83%. And as far as a good flurocarbon i like Sunline Super FC Sniper as well and often use abrazx as well

I like 12# InvizX and use the palomar. 

 

I also began the search for a new knot when I started using fluorocarbon.... then I found a video of KVD where he said that he uses the palomar w/ fluoro. 

 

I stuck with it.  I take my time and use a lot of spit.  No issues thus far.

I thought it did. It sank a lot faster than it does with braid or mono.

I use a palomar knot almost exclusively with FC and (knock on wood) have yet to have a problem with it. I like the knot.

I also use Seaguar Red Label, which is a great line for the price point. A lot may argue that, but thats my humble opinion.
