  • Sounds like school's out, and some bored kid(s) are messing with you.  Get a deer camera, set it up, and see who it is.

Screw that. Nope. Seeing as its not supernatural so to speak. Get on some camo and get on the roof. Bring a large caliber rifle. (You ain't hunting deer) throw a couple Slim Jim's out and wait. Once t

Well, on Bigfoot Resource.com, there is a 18 page thread about a 30 lb largemouth bass caught from a farm pond...

I have, a ton. Grew up in the middle of nowhere. Spend all my free time fishing and hunting or just exploring the woods. Never have I ever heard or seen anything I could even begin to pretend was a Bigfoot, skunk ape, yeti, whatever the "reality" TV shows are calling them now. Closest thing I've seen was my very large uncle trying to figure out how to get his tent unzipped after enjoying too many oat soda pops, which I imagine is how most BF stories get made up.

Same here. Mountain lion screams and bobcat growls were pretty common either out flathead fishing, coon hunting or heading to the deer stand in the pitch black. This was in south east kansas. My dad is from the hills of Missouri and basically lived in the outdoors. No crazy stories other than the frequent dopers and meth heads.

I get there are creatures out there not seen by man before, but get real... a friggin big foot in the United States with no proof at all? I'm not buying it.

This is what always gets me. We all have heard story's from hunters. That have claimed to have seen a "Bigfoot" that it was in range, or so they say. I can tell you this. If I was ever in the woods, and saw some thing that was 7ft tall and in range. That thing would have at least one .308 round going through its lungs, or heart.

Yea, I shot one.. With a .50 cal Thompson Center Encore, 3x9x36A Swarovski scope, a hour before daylight on Dec. 23-2001. Troops from Ft.Knox were dispatched to the area.

And then.......I woke, w my ex-wife in bed w me, snoring like a monster from hell...I filed for divorce that same day.

The capturing Bigfoot show on the history channel on Monday night looks like a joke.

This threads a Incredible. How many of these stories occurred while hiking on a mushrooms and moonshine diet? I grew up spending a lot of time in the woods and never would have associated any of these things with a Sasquatch.

Yes, you are correct.  One of them posts on this forum.

Yup. Posting right now as a matter a fact....

I was logging since 1979 full time and part time between jobs. I seen more weird stuff than bf that I don't understand. Let's say I kept the saw, hot, gassed up and near me.

I was asked to finish up another loggers job who left suddenly. Seen it on a few days but didn't let it run me off I had a job to do. Let's say there was 9' long x 4' wide by 3' high piles of stones, graves all lined up on the hillside above me. There was a stone wall with an opening on the trail I was logging on. I seen the air flutter as something went from the top of the stone wall across the trail to the top of the stone wall on the other side and continued on till it disappeared. Before I knew about the stone graves above me I asked the forest ranger first. He told me about the stone piles. My other buddy who lives in that area told me the history of the place says there was native Indians there years ago. I finished the job and left. I didn't disturb the graves.

The air fluttered like on the movie predator. It crossed from the top of one stone wall to the top of the other stone wall never touching the ground in the opening on the trail.

I was thinking if it materialized into our dimension and was near me it was sushi time with the saw. I have no clue as to what it was.

Now you know how this thread looks to everyone.

Only to the hecklers and non believers. It's no joke as to what I'm telling you. There's many more encounters that they won't talk about for the fear of being heckled. I don't care the truth will win in the end. Then what will the hecklers say.

Only to the hecklers and non believers....

Have you noticed that 'only the hecklers and non believers' includes every single person except you and perhaps two others?

Not trying to be judgmental....just an observation

We had a online northeast mountain lion reporting sight.

We had sightings coming in from all over the northeast. It was awesome. Think about it if there was recent sightings in your area or were we fished it could save you life or your families life. Do to one heckler everyone report was sent to me online. They didn't report it to the sight. Finally the heckler killed the sight it shut down.

We had reports from;

Wells,Maine coastal area swamp

Newtown,ct

New Milford, ct

Lee,Mass

Granville,vt

We had so many reports.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not out there. There's a 200lb killing machine that wants you for its play toy.

My point is to be more alert in the woods.

Ill let it go now you had your laugh.

I'm not sure I really followed that very well, but I will try to respond.

You mean reports about an animal that actually exists? Who would have thought someone might see something that we know for a fact is out there.

People have doubts about where certain species of animals have migrated to, that's not a question. But when people claim to have seen an animal that there has never been any proof that they exist, then yes they are going to get called on it.

Since you have multiple encounters and know where they live it shouldn't be that hard.

BigBill,

I for one enjoy reading about your encounters.  Please continue.

Bigbill, would you defend yourself with the hot saw, if a Bigfoot did indeed attack you?

I don't think that question deserves a response.  It's rhetorical.

If something attacked you (no matter what it was), naturally one would defend himself with whatever means available.

I was thinking the same thing.... he always compares big foot to a freaking mountain lion. People see mountain lions all the time. Not even close to the same thing.... chainsaw fumes have done some real work on this one...

This is my favorite comment on this thread. Well said! I have tried many diets over the years but not this one specifically, although it is possible I may have tried it a time or two in the seventies. I have spent a few nights alone in remote locations, under the influence more than once, and have never seen anything that caused me to believe bigfoot lives. On two occasions I have heard what I believe were big cats, but it might have been something else. The imagination runs wild in these circumstances.

Let's not be too hasty. Bigfoot does exist-- I've seen one.

It must have been a reaction to wedding cake and a gold ring, because my wonderful ex-wife turned into a Bigfoot within a few weeks.

Who knew?

  • Super User

Shape shifting who knew? Did she look normal or have extra hair at first. Extra body hair should of been a clue.

If she howled at night another clue. Lol

I will gladly let you stay in my cabin for a few nights. Once it gets dark and what ever it is comes back it 100x scarier than you would think. Just the thought of a 9 foot 800 pound thing that could easily tear me limb from limb roaming around outside my cabin is just a little freaky

Whatever you're smoking... I don't want any.

Hey that's my sister you're talking about!

Lol!

Bigbill-- you're a good sport. :)

Ever see saturday night live with John B in the samurai skit that would be me samurai chainsaw. Nothing on the planet scares me. But I will defend myself.
