Best Place To Buy Sc Avid?

Gander Mountain is running some type of rebate on St.Croix rods based on the amount spent,  I think it would be like 30 dollars on a Avid.

Nobody is allowed to have a sale on SC rods. Its in their dealer contract, if they run them below MSRP then they get kicked off st. croixs dealer list. All you will find is store credit rebate, free t-shirt, free reel, etc.

Gander mtn usually has the best incentives, $20-30 back in gander gift card.

Kevin, many places discount St.Croix rods, they just don't publicly advertise it, much the same with Shimano, Megabass, and G.Loomis.  They usually word it something like "For deals too good to list give us a call"  If you call, they will apply the same discount to these rods.

In fact there is a site sponsor here that may or may not be able to get you a discount on a St. Croix rod, not sure if he carries that brand or not.

There are many retailers that have sales on st. Croix rods..

Dicks sporting goods, albeit a fluke, if you can still find them there, was selling them for less than 100$.

Cabelas sold mojos/avids/ltb, etc for a very big discount last year as well.

As for right now, you will probably have to wait until the 4th of July sales or Call Ron.

One of our local stores everyday price on Avids is at least $20 below normal price, sometimes even more. Same thing with all their Shimano reels too.

Try AmericanLegacyfishing.com. If you sign up for their newsletter, they give you $25 off a $100 purchase or more.

If you are in Park Falls WI, you can get good deals at the St Croix outlet store. They have "B" stock rods that have very slight cosmetic defects for as much as half off.

Then they better not let St. Croix find out. I asked the guy that is in charge of the service dept why you don't see sales on their rods.. everyone has them the same price...and he told me that they are all under contract to sell at a certain price and above and if they violate they loose their dealership pricing from st croix.

Your local guy could be buying them from a distributor and not straight from st. croix I guess.
