Have you ever went back and looked at stuff you posted on this site and thought "that's probably the stupidest thing I've ever said."

I've went back to old threads and deleted some of my post because they were so dumb lol

Yep.. It happens to me from time to time. I also forget there is a delete feature.... duh???

I do it all the time..........

I remember when I first joined the boards some of the most stupid questions you could EVER imagine.

it is fun to see though, sometimes for kicks, I scroll back through some stuff I asked/said just to see how much I have grown in fishing.....then I realize I posted it yesterday LMAO

Yeah I kinda did that already . I didn't read all of the he op's thread title It was about skipping jigs / texas rigs in a  boats dock . I assumed they were talking about the floating boat docks that winch the boats out of water . I suggested skipping a jig under the boat , didn't realize they were talking about boats in the slip at the dock . Kinda hard to skip a jig under a boat thats already in the water ... talk about some david copperfield stuff.  Good lord I felt like a moron .

honestly, not with just thread titles, but with the first post in a thread, you would be surprised how many people dont read it and start giving advice and asking questions about something that was clearly stated in the post. for example some one gives the water temp in their thread, a couple posts later someone is asking what the water temp is lol, i see that so much.

Nope. I've said some stupid stuff on here. Hell I have said some down right ignorant stuff on here. Yet I leave it for everyone to see. Cause it proves I am human. It also proves to me that I don't always know everything. I keep it as a reminder that I'm not as smart as I think I am some times.

We all grow in our bass fishing so some of the information we have posted in the past has been updated by fishing, watching TV, going to seminars, reading magazines and books and talking with other bass fishermen.

So at the time you made your post your data was valid.

At this time you understand more and have greater insight into the sport and have changed your position.

Don't worry about it. It is part of bass fishing and everyone has forgotten your past posts.

There seems to be a natural progression in fishing.  If you are around it long enough you will see it many times.  It is a process that everyone goes through.  The more you learn, the sooner you realize how little you know.

Nope, but I have had to go back and edit a lot.  I read it after I post it and think, that's not what I wanted to say.

Once or twice. I'm sure we are all guilty of making some questionable statements.
