Weather App For Phone

Featured Replies

I've been having problems with my weather app on my phone and wondering what you all use.  Right now I have TWC( The Weather Channel) and I'm looking for a new one that has better accuracy and reliability.  So what do you all use?

Even though i dont have a phone, i would use accu weathers app.

I used to use The Weather Channel app, but got tired of its issues and constantly incorrect forecasts and switched to Accuweather. It's a little better about forecasting correctly for my area and has some neat features, but has some issues as well. I do like that it gives me more detailed wind and pressure info.

Thats pretty much the same thing I'm running into.  I'll Try Accuweather.  Thanks!!

I use Weather Bug. It works great for me. Very accurate radar.

If we're talking an android phone I use 1Weather. It seems to be very accurate and isn't a resource hog. The only issue I have is it doesn't follow me anymore, in the apps defense more han likely it the settings on my phone. I keep most of the location stuff turned off.

I have tried many of the weather apps thru the years, on some I had issues with the permissions they required to deliver the weather such as access to contacts.

Another vote for Weather Bug here. I was also able to download Weather bug Elite a while back for free. I like the Lightening feature called Spark. It can tell you how far the latest strike in reference to your location and the the direction of where the storm is going. The up to date radar is also impressive.

My Radar app is free.

Shows all the weather radar in your area.

Great when you are on the water.

Tried the weather channel app and its alright for a quick look at the weather but it doesn't go into much detail, I'm using AccuWeather now and it seems to be pretty good.

Weatherbug

You should check out Weather Underground. Not only were they the original, but world wide they are the largest and most reliable. There app is rated number 1, and they're known for being the best. They provide info no other site does: predicting barometric pressure rise and fall, wave forecasts. I have used their data for ten years in my fishing journal.

It's free. You'll be so glad you used it.

See the lighting then count how many seconds until you hear the thunder then divide by 5.  10 seconds = 2 miles.

I use the Weather Underground app out here in California! On the cal delta you have to know the second the weather changes, often times before it even does in order to stay on the bite. Best app by far for weather!

Thank you guys!!!!  I'll download WU also and see how that one does also.

I used TWC for about a year and started having issues. Crashing, freezing, ect. Now I just use the Iphone weather app that is already on the phone.

Weather Underground, TWC, and Weatherbug.

Weatherbug recently added the lightning detector page also. Kinda handy.

Between the three I always manage to get what I need.

At home I first look at weather channel on  my computer, then I look at the marine forecast from Weather Undergound and lastly I check out the exact conditions at NDBC, a NOAA link.

All my google bookmarks are available on my android, don't use a specif app when on the go.
