No Need Really

Featured Replies

I've noticed that in my arsenal of lures and fishing lately i don't use everything that's in my arsenal of lures ,well i don't use but two types of lures and tactics , top water and plastics and here's the thing .I've got spinner baits ,dont use and crank baits ,dont use and should but don't so do you use everything or not ? either of my two ways and lures work just fine .do you have that problem or is it?

Every lure you have will come in handy.... one day. Where I fish I usually throw the same lures but its always nice to experiment with new things.

I couldn't fish with every bait I owned without changing baits every cast in a years worth of fishing.

We all collect things we may never use.

I pretend that I use everything I own..but there are plenty of unopened or un-fished lures sitting on my boat at the moment...When I go out with my buddies and just fish for fun I usually bust out some random lures I have never used - sometimes they even end up saving the day.

That being said..I still fish my confidence baits 98.7658502395235238940863460121% of the time (give or take the .7658502395235238940863460121%)  :eyebrows:

It happens to all of us.

I use everything in my backpack. Then again, I only have 10 lures and then my T-rig stuff. Lol

Noooo, a lot of it is just Fodder... I mean crankbaits in the Hundreds, and still buying?

What's wrong with me!

Hooks, Jigs, plastics... On and on...

With the exception of one occasion, I haven't used spinnerbaits this entire season.  But that doesn't mean I won't.  The locations and/or conditions just haven't seemed quite right.  But would I go out without them?  Not if I have space.  You just never know.

If you NEVER use certain things and don't wish to step out of your comfort zone to try to use them (or simply are happy with the way things are), you might as well put the extra baits in a display case or shadow box-or keep them in your tackle box, for all it matters.

I have a few things I don't fish but each time I go out I have a particular game plan in mind.  I'd like to think everything I have, has a purpose and gets used.  In reality though, I would guess that 1 out of 10 baits I have purchased are duds.

I have a lot of stuff I don't use, but will I throw it out? No as I might need to throw something different and its nice to have something different. I fish the same places a lot so most of the time I start out with what worked last time if that works I keep using it, if not I'll change maybe color of a totally different presentation.

I do know this forum cost me plenty of money, I'll here about something here and will go buy one and give it a try. Many times it's a bust but then I have also found a new confidence bait. Right now it's 7" Rage Tail Thumpers.

So yea I have way more tackle than I use, tackle is like tools you never know when you might need it and when the time comes it's nice to have it in your toolbox.
