I have no issue casting 1/4 oz on a tatula. A KVD 1.5 you can bomb pretty good on anything I would say. The choice of line and rod also make a difference but I don't think there is much I could not cast on a tatula with in reason.

I do not finesse fish with casting gear. That is left up to spinning gear. I have been able to throw 1.0 on my tatula now. I was looking at the Tatula Type-R. I played with my buddies reel yesterday and I believe I am picking up a Lews BB1. I was able to get some distance with a 1.0 and absolutely bomb the 1.5.

I fish the KVD 1.0 and 1.5 often and have no problem launching either on a supertuned Curado 200E5. I can actually cast them further on my E5 than I can with my 50E Curado, which is also supertuned. 

My gen3 stx or gen 1 stx has no problem 75-100' with unweighted senko. This is on a MHX hm-mb843, and on my regular mb843...(7', fast action)

The rod does more for distance then your reel. If you got to set your reel on the ragged edge to get the distance you want, you're gonna have a miserable time picking professional overruns out....

If you can't get at least 30-35 yards with this, then you need a different rod.  (Not referring to you Avery.)

Yeah, I wonder from where ppl get the idea that an unweighted senko is a light bait.

35 yards on a baitcaster is still hard on a senko even though it's not light. I have a T3 1016 and wacky rigged on a 7'3 *** Medium I'm able to average about 35 yards at max effort. Btw I test it at an actual football field so my distance is real. It's not as easy as some people think.

35 yards is further than I see any need to cast with anything other than maybe a deep crank or C rig. Better have braid or a hookset will be almost impossible that far out
