New Croix Avid

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I'm in the market for a Avid series rod for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and chatterbaits. In that order.

I'm thinking of getting the 7' MHF.

I'm fixed on Croix bc I'm trading up, so I will get rid of one of my rods.

Thanks

That rod would work just fine for those baits as well as a lot of several other things. A 7' MH/F is a very versatile rod.

What do you mean trade up?

Croix got rid of their upgrade program unless you return a broken rod

I would consider that trading down,,,,and would go with the Avid,, I consider them the best buy on the market,,,,,excellent rods!

Good choice. I'd take the Champ over the Avid any day. dobyn's warranty is top notch and, unlike St. Croix, you can trade your used champ in for a DX at only the difference between the two. 734 is your rod.

I have a DX745, I would probably get a 734 or a 735 (champions)

The 7' MH/F would be a great rod for those applications
