? for newbs in starting jigs/skirts

Featured Replies

I've noticed 2 questions on how to make jigs, paint, etc. How big of a hurry are you guys in?

What if I make a donation to the board of a how too from making the jig head, painting, the skirt, etc. I will start from scratch to a complete finished product.

Would there be enough interest in this for me to spend the time to do it?

I think its a great Idea, Something to keep me busy during the winter!

I would be down for that idea. I am in the process of getting my first house which means I may actually have some room for fishing projects.  Yeah!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if I have time for another hobby but I'd read along with interest.  The detailed stuff you posted a while back was great, so if it's up to your own standards, I bet a LOT of people would follow along.

I bet you could make in article format and get it added to the articles area of the site and link to it in the thread.

I'm not sure how you do that but a PM to Glenn or any of the mods should provide a quick answer.

Great idea!

Contact Glenn if you want to do this is an "Article" format.

GMAN,

Just a thought....

What I found with all of my articles that I have on my rod and reel sites.

"Don't Rush Them"

Take your time, the readers will still be there....

Sounds like a real asset to the forum and tacklemaking.....

Tight Lines!!!!

I would love to see this. I really hope to make alot of jigs over the winter.

Well, i'm working on this tutorial. I'm taking lots of pics. I'm going to break it down into a couple catagories. I'm going to take more time to make it a better tutorial instead of whipping it together.

Here is what I'm thinking

Pouring

Painting

Assembling

can't wait!  ;)

Sounds like you have the right steps in mind. Can't wait to see the final write up.
