Aqua-vu underwater camera, can't wait to use it on my jon boat. Dsg gift card, ordered a new mojo bass mhf spinning rod.

Good luck with it. I bought one last year and you can't see anything on the screen in the day light only at night. I don't fish any at night so it doesn't do any good . To me it was just a waste of money.

Santa Claus ordered me an NRX 893C, should be delivered next week.  HO HO HO!!!!!!

I got a couple bass for Christmas - caught the one below on Christmas Eve. It was reeled in with a Daiwa Ryoga 1016H round reel................which was sorta a Christmas present to myself...................... ;)

Caught another bass on Christmas day - about 10:30 in the morning. I like getting bass for Christmas....

I didn't really get anything significant. Money has been as issue this year, so my wife and I took one for the team so my kids would have a normal Christmas and not know any different. However, my wife understands that I am owed a Megabass Extreme Mission Type F. I owe her a remote starter for her minivan. I win that deal.

I got a Natulius FWX 3/4 fly reel

My buddy got me WF4F line

and I still have a $250 gift card to TW.

I was very blessed!

From the Orochi XX line of rods? If yes, I have had that vary rod for 2 years and love it. It is the only rod I would ever purchase a second of. Best multi purpose rod I have used and the sensitivity of the blank is great when combined with Tatsu.

That's the one. I'm going to try the Orochi XX rods because they are known for their versatility, and I'm trying to put together a set for fishing co-angler/back of the boat situations where I need to keep my rod count down. Already have the Shakey Head spinning rod. Also considering the Flatside Special and the Perfect Pitch. Won't be able to wait until next Christmas to fill out the lineup though. I'll probably have to sell some stuff this Spring.

I have the Shakeyhead spinning rod as well. The rod was a new addition spring of this year. Have you fished yours yet? I am on the fence about mine as it fishes lighter in power than I thought it would. Seems great for under 5/16 oz but feels pushed as it gets closer to 3/8. The series as a whole is outstanding minus the full retail price, higher amount of cork filler, and somewhat limited warranty coverage. Sounds like you should be set with a handful of these rods depending upon what you wanted to accomplish with them...

I've fished it quite a bit and I like it. I use it for pretty much every finesse application I can't use a baitcaster for, so I actually like the action of it being a bit lighter. I find it works well for how I fish a drop-shot rig. I frequently will cast it and work it bank down slopes, and the action is better for dragging the weight over obstructions than a true drop-shot rod would be. I don't fish shakey heads over a 1/4 oz very often, and if I did, I'd use my baitcaster, so the Shakey Head rod is just kind of in my wheel house.

Cabelas gift card and a Pflueger Purist spinning reel to add to my collection.

Gift card will come in handy to match a rod.

I would say, "sweet reward!" but I refuse to directly acknowledge the beauty of ***'s reels until they acknowledge that people use "leftys." (I've heard they are suppose to have some left-hand options in "early 2015." We'll see.)

St. Croix Mojo rod, an Abu Vendetta casting rod, and a $50 BPS gift card.  I need a new bag so the gift card will go toward that.

Forgot that I also got some hip waders for stream fishing.

I got a Abu Garcia Orra s30 spinning reel and used a warranty to replace an old carbonlite for the new white one(awesome rod by the way). I've caught about 20 fish on the combo and I'm loving it

Wait, you stopped opening gifts on Christmas day to post!!

Man, I like your dedication ;) thanks!!!!! Yea it's a serious addiction!!!

congrats!

I never got hooked on the smoking deal but my dad did and he quit 10 years ago when I gave him a challenge. So happy for him and hope you have the strength and support to stick with your goal.

Here's the results of my trip to BPS after my gift cards :-D I *should* be taken care of for the upcoming fishing season but I'm sure I'll find some other way to convince my wife that there are a few other ways to catch us more bass ;-)

I'm in the same boat. My father in law and I fish together every chance we get. He's a Canadian Maritimer so fishing comes to him as second nature. There are a couple of nice little trout ponds near his house, not to mention Bras D'Or Lake which isn't that far away either.
