Really trying to get into lipless crankbait fishing this year, can you guys tell me your favorites, where and when to fish em, how to fish em, and on what tackle? I've watched countless videos but you guys have helped me in the past! Thanks a lot fellas!

Spro in chart shad can't go wrong with this bait.

Xcaliber XR50 and XRK50 in Ghost, Silver blue or black back, silver gold back, and Rayburn red are where it's at for me. The RES is a solid bait too but I've caught better quality fish on the Xcaliber, especially the XRK50 in Rayburn red. I like to rip them over grass, along weed edges, across points, windblown banks, anywhere bass are herding shad. I fish mine on a 7' MH/F with a 6.2:1 reel and 15lb Big Game most of the time. 

Spro Aruku Shad

Most of the time I fish lipless crankbaits is along the bottom on good structure like points .  Usually I will lift and let it drop like a worm. Chrome Rattle Traps work well for this type of fishing.

I love a Rat-L trap or a red eye shad!

If you have an academy close by or you are willing to order them try the H2O express lipless baits. They bare great baits for the money!

All brands work ,just gotta find the perfect size and color.Which aint too hard,,,, basic colors a few naturals and some solids and a couple outcast.

If your starting off try the BPS KIT for what you pay I think there great lipless cranks

The lipless crank is one that I honestly believe it pays to have several different brands. I say that because the biggest difference besides profile is the sound and I've had many days when just the sound change was what made a tough day into a great day. For me, I really like the Xcalibur XRK50 baits, these are the one knockers and I find that they get bigger fish on average, I'm not sure if it is the overall bait of the one knocker sound but it seems to get better than average fish. I'm a big fan of the Cordell super spots, those are really good in the cold water period in spring, the reason is I can work them slower than other baits while still getting vibration and sound. You can use them all year but a lot of anglers like when the grass just begins to emerge in spring and they just reel fast enough to tick the tops of the grass and then rip it free, killer presentation and it is similar in fall but you are pulling it free from dying vegetation and working it slightly faster than spring. In the summer I use them as a search bait in murky water and sometimes it works to the point I use it all day, summer is funny with lipless cranks as they sometime are the best bait and other times not so much but if the water is stained I'll throw one, it is that simple.

We all have our personal preferences when it comes to brand, size and color. Bluebasser pretty much nailed it on location and technique. Me? I like 'em all. SK RES, XCaliber, Rat-L-Trap, Cordell Spot, Rapala, etc. My most productive colors are chrome/blue, chrome/black, sexy shad and red craw. I fish 'em with a 7' Med./ fast rod and a 6.3:1 reel with 8# or 10# Trilene Big Game.

My favorite is the Red Eye shad.

I love Fishing Lipless Cranks. I have done a number on red eye shad. but i lose more lipless cranks than anything. thats why I now fish Bass Pro. my motto is if you dont get hung up 4 or 5 times fishing a lipless crank you wernt fishing them close enough to cover. I fish lipless cranks deep into cover. I love skipping them under overhands and behind laydowns and letting them fall for a second and using a steady pull raise them out of the cover. I usually get bit on the second fall after I pull them out of the brush.

I'm gonna have to give a second vote for rat'L traps. One of the best. And any similar variations of it. I must confess that is one type of lure I can not buy enough of or different variations of it made by whoever. I have some with flow through holes in them that if you blow through them they whistle and I can only imagine what they do under water, but they catch fish, they surely do.
