Stren Og

how is stren orginal monofilament? anyone that can back it up or share their exp with it?

10lb original (kind of a blue fluorescent) is the only line I ever put on my pond rod

It's all I used growing up and my dad still uses nothing but stren original to this day. He thinks I'm weird because I use different line for different applications. I would still use it except that I stock up on BPS Excel whenever it's on sale.

It's great line I use it in summer when fishing at night and for cranking.

It's all I use on every rod, just different pound tests. I use the clear blue fluorescent because it's easy to see, especially when fishing a worm or jig. I've tried braid and FC lines, just never cared for them. I'm not a tourney fisherman, so I try to keep it simple, lol.

I hear that! lol

I have never cared for regular mono it has way to much streched. For all out strengh and fishability P-line cxx or suffix co-polymere is my go to if I am not using floro or braid.

I use mono, copoly, or braid. I never used FC and idk if I want to or care to lol.

I find it to have more stretch than most mono. It's strong though.

All i ever used for 20 yrs .I would buy it again if i find it on clearance, thats not bad though most of my stuff was clearance anyway lol

I have a buddy who goes trout fishing with 2lb stren magnathin. He steps it up to 4lb magnathin for bass fishing and he lives by the stretch in the line.

Stren Hi Impact is great line for moving baits. I've used regular Stren lots of times and while it isn't the best at much, it gets the job done.
