I also should have specified I use FC only for leaders, all of my set ups are braid with fluoro leaders except for my jig stick no leader (maybe in ultra clear water).

 

A lot of people use uni-uni as did I, but I found Alberto's (improved albright) to work much better and is the same difficulty to tie.

 

For the applications I would use 65lb braid I would not be using a leader, so what this is telling me is you likely are using an unnecessarily heavy braid for the application.

 

The big discrepancy in line diameters can* make leaders finicky and like I mentioned before, if I was aiming to use a 15lb FC leader I would pair it with 20lb, 30lb (recommend), and MAYBE 50lb if absolutely necessary.

 

Now for the improved albright I typically use 7 wraps up, 7 wraps down but more wraps (about 9) if the leader is close to the braid in strength (eg. 20lb braid with 15lb or 20lb FC)

My favorite fluorocarbon is NONE. Never had a problem with it jumping off the spool, suppleness, knot failures or any of the other problems most fluorocarbon lines have. I wouldn't recommend it because there is so much peer pressure on using one or another of its competitors. For me, it's strictly a confidence thing.

I quit using flouro when I discovered Yo-Zuri.  But, then again, I never tried any 'high-end' flouro, either.  Any reason or applications for which I should try flouro vice Yo-Zuri?

IMHO, when sensitivity is key.

Use ro be InvisX.... then I tried Tatsu.

I use Red Label, AbrazX and InvisX.  Stay away from the really cheap stuff imo when you go fluoro is what I learned.  Bulk of my flouro use though is making it a leader. Only have two reels spooled with full flouro, 14lb AbrazX (Chronarch CI4+) 10lb InvisX (Chronarch 200E6).

I have Floroclear fully spooled on one reel.  I really like it and it handled toothy critters pretty well too. 

Don't really see any love for P-Line, I like it a lot. I have found it to be very supple and manageable.

Dropshot. This is the one area I believe it really matters. I use 6 lb sniper or p-line 100%. I have not tried the tautsu due to the additional cost. Found two lines that worked very well and stopped looking. I love and use a lot of yo-zuri in 10lb

I really like Sunline Super FC and Seagaur RedLabel.

Inviz-x and Abraz-x are two of my favorites. I also like the BPS fluorocarbon.

I only use fluorocarbon for leader material. For me, Red Label works perfect for this. It blends reliable performance, quality line, and economical price into a top "bang for the buck" factor.

Seaguar Invisx and Trilene 100% FC are my favorites.   Red Label is also not bad for the money.  I just bought some Tatsu but I have not used it yet.  We'll see if it beats out my other go to lines.

Honestly, none. I use fluorocarbon on my dedication senko stick. I went all out and spooled up with Tatsu. I was using Sniper but figured what the heck.

I just got some 30lb power pro and 15lb red label for leaders

I've used Abrazx in the past and liked it, but I think my woes with it came from the fact that I used too light of line. I had a couple of breakoffs.

 

That said I went to strictly braid.

 

Now I've decided to give it another try since I'm getting more into cranking.
