Classic Predictions

Who do you think is going to win the Classic?

Apart from who I want to win, (Ike and Palaniuk), I think that Aaron Martens and Casey Ashley are going to be tough to beat. Ashley is a local, and Martens' strengths really suit the lake.

It's going to be a fun tourney.

Dark horse Kevin Short comes to win it all in dramatic fashion after the devastating destruction of his home town. Seriously though, he has a good shot at it.

As of right now, Casey Ashley is the man to beat.  Odds of winning in your home state aren't good, especially on your home lake but Ashley won the FLW tournament on Hartwell early spring last season.   He doesn't seem to get rattled either.  Look out for Cliff Pace too.

Hack Attack is gonna start this year where he left off last year.

I have no idea who will win but I will be pulling for them all, especially Ike and Martens.

My wife and I are heading down to the Classic, my second one.

Suggest everyone attend one sooner or later.

You will have a good time.

I like Casey, both his demeanor and his chances of winning. If the fish are deep and eating a jig, he's going to be tough to beat.

I think Jason Christie has a good shot at it. Whoever takes it will have to versatile February on Hartwell can be nice and spring like or downright nasty cold and windy. Plus there is a ton of variety on that lake also.

Another guy I forgot about is Jacob Wheeler.   I don't know how he fairs in cold weather tourneys but he's from Indy and he seems to be at his best in big time tournaments.

I'm going to go with Aaron Martens, he deserves a Classic title.

Love me some Wheeler. He fished decently well in the FLW tour event on Hartwell, which was a mix of good and foul weather throughout the event. I'll keep an eye out for him. It would be great to see a local guy win. He's a great guy and great fisherman.

Would really like to see AMart get one.

Would like to see Hackney or A-Mart win it.

I would love to see A Mart, Evers or Faircloth win it.  I think those guys are great fishermen and "deserve" a Classic win.
