Why do I have to live somewhere that gets cold? I could be fishing now in Florida.

It's going to be 50 this morning in South Florida with a strong west wind, I may skip fishing today.

I never did like the winter here in Florida ( love the summer), my wife and I have been talking about moving south.

Why do people say they live up north and love the seasons but hate winter. Why don't they just move south???

Because in the summer I have the pick of thousands of lakes that hold quality bass and very few people fish them. I don't pay to launch my boat. I don't have to worry about someone being on my fishing spot. I don't worry about crime. In the fall I hunt ducks and I don't have to stand in line or wait for a lottery etc. I just drive out to a pothole, setup, and start shooting. The economy up here is great. The people are wonderful. If I get sick of the winter, I just jump on a plane and go south for a vacation.

Pretty such the same for me too, except change out the duck hunting for dog sledding.

 

So I don't totally hate winter, as long as there's enough snow to ride the rails. (and there always is)

 

I do probably complain about it a little too much.

Because the Packers coaches were advising the hawks coaches. Packers: up 12 with 4 to go. Hawks up 10 with 8 to go. Classic fail. what a bummer.

Im hoping to take a trip this summer to Costa Rica, my wife spent 3 months down there and loves it. Im already planning on setting up a guide for some peacocks! Either of those places I dont think you can go wrong.
