I've had a 1 lb. largemouth hit one.

Since I've never caught a smallmouth, I can't imagine one not.

I rig mine on a 6/0 EWG worm hook. The one in this picture I've rigged with copper ground wire on the shaft for a little bit of weight and painted it black. This is my rigging:

great haha so I'll be using my 1/8th oz 5/O ewg gamakatsu hooks.

Mmmm

Never seen or heard about wrapping a hook for T rigging.

Trebles yes but not single hooks.

I would imagine the fall would be somewhat more horizontal than being nose weighted.

Like I said...Mmmm

My most productive worm presentation for smallmouth is the 6.5" GYCB Kut Tail rigged

Texas rig and let it fall, hop it slowly on the bottom or depending on the bass activity.

Stitch it.  T-rigged weightless or with a split shot.
