Bps Pq Vs Lexa 100Hs Vs Browning Midas Vs Orra 2S Vs

Featured Replies

Weird situation here, my wife purchased the Lexa for me at full retail ( bps) and gave it to me today. It is going on a Shimano rod on its way from TW if I keep it. However money is tight and I am thinking of returning it for a cheaper model and using the difference on much needed tackle since I am just getting back into fishing there are many many needs. Also I am wondering if the Orra 2s is a better real all together.

Here are the reels down grade:

BPS PQ

BPS nitro tourney Z

Browning Midas

Orra 2 s head to head.

Any advice especially on the nitro z and the Lexa itself would be really helpful.

Baitcasting or Spinnning?

I am sorry baitcasting from the bank.

Calling it... Everyone here will recommend the PQ.. Well most everyone.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on that reel. Never used one.

I am a huge daiwa guy though, and just picked up the Lexa this year. Have only had soft water on the pond for a day or so since I got it so I can't say much, but it feels nice for its price point. The only thing that irks me about it is the handle. There is no 'play' in it, but it just feels... Loose, for lack of a better word.

Orras are nice reels but I'd try to get a shimano

Lexa can be tuned very nicely for casting light-weight

lures and such. I have one and do like it, although I've

since upgraded to Shimano Chronarch 50e reels and

don't use the Lexa as much....

FWIW

Lexas are solid reels. If it was a gift, I'd consider fishing with it.

The Pro Qualifier is a heck of a reel.  I've had mine for 5 years and have not had one issue with it.  Feels like a reel twice it's price.  Best of luck and tight lines

I can't comment on the other reels aside from the PQ.  Honestly I wouldn't call a PQ a downgrade.  I own both the Lexa and PQ, I actually favor the PQ more.  The Lexa is a fine reel though.  Either one you'd win imo.

Downgrade on $$$ invested not quality. That is my goal here to get as good or close enough to it while spending enough less to help on other needs.

H2o Xpress mettle mt2 from acedemy. I PROMISE this is the best reel for its price. 60 bucks and it whizzes baits a mile. I love mine. You won't regret it.

Lexa 100HS are on sale for $69 at Gander Mountain. Get your money back and save almost half and you still have the same reel gifted to you.

Won't TW price match?

  • Super User

Although I haven't used a PQ I've had great luck with all the BPS reels I've purchased. From the reviews, I don't think you could go wrong with a PQ either.

PQ is 79.99 right now

Well I found the.receipt and BPS price matched problem solve. It was missing that was the issue.
