Buzzbait Question

Since a buzzbait is a surface lure and weight does not determine speed of fall, What do you base which weight buzzbait you purchase? Speed of retrieval? Casting distance?

For me its casting distance.  3/8 is my favorite and I'll throw 1/4 sometimes but it just seems with 3/8 I have better control on where the cast ends up.

Both, I wanna get distance but I still want to slow roll it if needed. Lunker lure buzz shads fit the bill for me.

Lighter and able to be retrieved slower without the waight pulling the props down under water.

I have no problem choosing because 3/8oz is the only size I carry :)

I use 1/4 and 3/8 pretty much exclusively in Cavitrons. I mean buzzbaits.

I use 1/2 ounce Lunker Lures a bunch. When I get a smooth cast in , they fly like an arrow .
