Essentially rigging a soft plastic on a swim bait hook for a horizontal presentation

I have done this with ribbontails, one day i got tired of my worm nose diving on slack line (texas rigged) and wanted it to fall slower and horizontal so i tried a 3/16 oz swimbait hook and it worked great. I havent tried it with any other baits yet though

Rage Tail Cut-R Worm ;)

Just watched...That was way more basic than I anticipated. Didn't know there was a name for it. I thought everyone has been doing that for years...no?

Rage rig = Tx rig your plastic of choice with a keel weighted Ewg hook. Weight depends on the rof that you want. Yes, people have been doing it for a long time. Very effective presentation.

I rig most of my fluke style baits this way with a 3/32nd oz vmc hook. The action of the tail is amazing to watch.

Had several of those hooks for fishing flukes and just thought it would work on other lures also. At the time I really didn't know there was a name for it lol.

Rage Tail Cut-R Worm ;)

Yep Cut-R worms and speed craws,

Rage Craw and Space monkey work great with this presentation. If im using a rage lobster and need added casting distance ill use the same Owner Beast swimbait hooks i use for keitech swing impacts. other than that i use the more compact VMC drop dead hooks.

I would link the specific hooks but I cant for some reason. they are easy enough to find on TW

You can "Rage Rig" any type, style or size plastic in your bag.

When nose weighted presentations stop working, throw it on a keel weighted hook in the same place before you move on. You may be surprised.

I use owner 5/0 cps 3/32 weighted hooks on a rage craw to get a amazing horizontal drop.

It's a great alternative to a unweighted Senko.
