Florida Trip

Featured Replies

We'll I did pretty well down here in Florida 21 fish in 2 days. The big one was caught on a rage bug weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces 24 inches long. Most of the fish were caught on Texas rigged craws. Sight fished a good bit of them. I was in Palm Coast Florida in a fairly small pond.

Thanks guys, I saw some weird fish that were very fast and would jump fully out of the water for no reason does anyone know what they are ? They were probably close to 20 inches long and were very fast.

Probably mullet. They leap out almost horizontally.

Congrats on the nice trip!

They do that, called frolicking, different kind of a jump when chased.

Good job - great trip ! Mullet is great as bait fish and good to eat if cooked properly. The haircut...well, I'm not so sure about.  :dontknow:

I know this is pretty old but where about in palm coast were you? I'm heading down there next month and trying to put some places together to go hit while I'm there.
