I have been recently searching up lines for cranking. Due to the fact that I cant spend that much money, I am looking at cheap, limp mono or copoly that doesn't have too much memory.

Is it anything like Sufix siege? I used to have 17 pound siege camo, and let me say, the memory was INSANE. Whenever you casted out, huge loops would form and it would be impossible to deal with backlashes. Whenever you tried to unpick a backlash and let the line out on the ground, the line started forming knots. I eventually got so ticked off at the line that I managed to sell it with a reel.

The elite is way more limp then the siege, I think you'll like it.

Im pretty impressed with seaguar's senshi line of mono

very supple, casts nice, and tough!

Larger line companies sell 2 kinds of mono/copolymer, hard and soft.  Hard line have better knot strength, less stretch, but more line memory.  Soft lines are the opposite.  Trilene XT hard, XL soft.

Suffix siege hard, elite soft.  Izorline Premium hard, XXX soft.  If you want inexpensive, Trilene Big Game is good and available at most Walmarts.  Yozuri Hybrid has moderate line memory and is liked by many.  But any of the soft lines will get it done.  I think now that we are in warmer weather, your problems with line memory will be less.

maybe it was the camo color sufix siege that was bad, penguino. ive been fishing sufix siege the last two years and its a great limp line to me. ive fished it in 6lb, 10lb, 12lb, 14lb and 17lb and have had no such problems as you described. also sufix elite is a good line too. i got some in 8lb on sale at walmart last year...

I like it a lot too.  It will have coils on the water after sitting all winter, but it doesn't cause loose line on the spool the first few casts like Big Game does for me.  An even more supple line is Sufix Elite.  Smalljaw67 has mentioned that AN40 is one of the best handling lines he has used.  I recently bought some 8# and 12# 3000 yard spools of it.  Dan has never steered me wrong yet.  I"m going to get some Mean Green as well.  Only read good things about it.  Used XL for years with no problem.  Just wanted to try some of the other lines out there.
