100 bucks is almost my limit on any fishing I'm trying to get into local amateur tourneys And I'm starting with 2 lews ssg1 on veritas 2.0 rods. One 6.6 and the other 7.0 .. The 6.6 is know is kinda generic I got It matched with a lews ss1. The other rod I have is A veritas 2.0 with the ssg1 lews and I got a abu garcia spinning reel s30 wih a vendetta rod ! My question is am I starting off in a good direction

Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~

Your gear sounds fine.

You'll know soon enough if or what you'll need after you get going.

Good Luck in your local amateur tourneys.
