I just purchased a 7'3 heavy rod for jigs and some light flipping and pitching baits from 3/8 oz-1/2 oz. what kind of line would you guys put on this setup? I also have a bass pro qualifier on it.

Pline cxx. 10 to 14 lb. I recently spooled on 15b McCoy mean green and it handles well.

I like 50# braid on my jig rod. Also, doubles as a frog rod.

I have two of these rods with the same specs, one has 15# CXX, the other 50 # Kanzen. Copoly for rocks and gen purpose, braid for weeds.

40lb braid with fluoro leader. I use Sufix 832 with 15lb Sunline Sniper

I'm the type that likes to go heavier. I throw 20# fluoro /w those weights. 15# would be just fine though.

I would use 20 Floro or I personally like 65 pound braid on my flippin rod plus I use it for froggin
