I have been using poppers, shallow running cranks, weightless flukes and senkos, and small jigs.  The growth looks like mixture of vegetation with some algae thrown in.  Water depth is about 1 to 5 feet deep depending on how close you are to the creekbed.  Vegetations is matted on the surface and goes down below the surface maybe a foot.  This is a picture of the creekbed area.  I usually just lift up the motor and let the wind push me across.

I'd probably get out of the boat and wade in the creek bed. 

Inline spinners, if you can steer them around the vegetation, and spinnerbaits would be my choice.

-Frogs

-Spinnerbaits

-Weightless rage plastics fished as topwater 

-Buzzbaits 

-Rage rig 

-Soft swimbaits

I'd drop dead rig a 9" Fat Max in Pumpkin Seed and start working it.

Both.  Baits with trebles tend to get hung up pretty quick.

Johnson silver spoon with white grub trailer, Producto buzz tail shad, black shad, t-rigged and weightless, Zoom swimmin super fluke, white ice, t-rigged and weightless.

Super Fluke, Frogs, Buzzbaits and a split shot rig whatever choice of worms you use. 

I would try A frog, Buzzbait, Senko, and just about anything that won't get caught in weeds. Good luck!

Chatterbait and Underspin for moving.

1/8oz Texas Rig creature bait for slow.

I'll bet they are under the overhang,Toss a torpedo in there if you got one or a hollow body frog

Which ever hollow bodied frog that you have the most confidence in being able to walk, should be great in that area. Looks like a buzzbait would get fouled up pretty fast, as well as a spinnerbait. A 10" - 12" worm Texas rigged might work as well, depending on the weight needed to get down to the bottom.

I would probably choose a more productive area where you can fish to your strengths.

I would fish somewhere else. That stuff looks like what I call "Snot grass" and there isn't a single bait out there that won't get covered in that stuff. Judging from the photo you have a LOT of it there. Fish it in the winter and spring

Weightless worm . I'd use a heavy hook to add weight . 

It's interesting how we all see something differently, which is one of the things that makes fishing fun. I wouldn't be looking for a different area. I would be drooling to be able to fish that area in your photo and the FIRST lure I would try would be a Koppers Live Target Hollow Body Field Mouse. I like the 3.5" brown version. Next choice for me would be a Spro Poppin' Frog.
