Frustrated With People

Featured Replies

I decided to fish my local park today. I see a gentleman and his buddies throwing some sort of firework into the water. They actually lit one that exploded at the feet of some people walking on the sidewalk. I immediately walk back over to him and ask him to stop, but he doesn't even respond to me. Even his son said "yeah the fireworks are killing the fish". Five steps past them, I hear another one go off, and another. I immediately went home after that.

Some people have just grown from bad seeds, I guess.

It gets worse everyday. As a public educator of 10 years I can tell you that from experience. I almost feel sorry for my son having to grow up in this day and age.

I don't even want to get started on this I've bit my tongue more then I care to today with the 4th celebration in my home town population 1200 any day but today we get around 10-15000 people for the 4th. That much stupid in one small town is ridiculous. Parents telling there kids to budge and skip lines being nasty to other kids in the bounce house area was making me sick. Then the kids with out parents. I wanted to punch little kids in the face but that's frowned upon lol. At least my kids behaved and waited in line like your supposed to and even helped others that couldn't make it threw some of the obstacles instead of pushing them out of the way. We left early though I couldn't take any more.

Besides being the largest "Beer" drinking holiday of the year, for whatever reason so many humans seem to lose their minds around the 4th of July.

Combine the intoxication with the traditional use of explosives, I chose to stay at home on this one.

I do however appreciate it that many of them choose to document their insanity for my viewing pleasure on youtube.

Yep, today and New Years eve are amature drinking days and I simply choose to stay home and watch all my fishing shows I have recorded.

I generally don't like people anytime. But, I'm in a park overlooking the National Mall waiting on the DC fireworks and the hundreds of kids (and parents) are extaordinarilly well behaved and having a great time.

IMO many of the adults today have never matured mentally. Look at the antics in public, the language, the rudeness -- adults acting like a spoiled 5-year-old. Look at the behavior in classrooms, in the mall, in movie theaters, in traffic, at sporting events, and yes even a few anglers. The hippies of the 60's didn't rear their children and those children are now parents and don't have a clue how to teach proper behavior to their little devils.

I don't like people and avoid them as much as possible.  I much prefer dogs.

How bout the people behind me waiting for the fireworks with a two day old newborn!!!!! Mom and baby left the hospital today. Fine parenting right there fireworks start in a hour that baby better be gone or I may be going to get a trooper that's stationed by the school.

Just the fact that the guy didn't even respond to me made me so angry. He was probably thinking "Why should I even listen to this kid"

Well I guess that says it all.  I think this wins it ( the most rediculous statement Ive read on a Bass Forum) Congratulations Sir.

You haven't been paying very close attention if that's the most ridiculous statement you've read here.

I'll say, there was an idiot knee boarding after dark that got killed because no one could see him.  You just can't fix stupid.

I was out on a lake that has a 7 pm curfew on boats ish.  That's when the party barges come out, and the real drinking begins.  I was heading in as I spotted two people swimming far out in the lake.  I warned them to be careful but they just replied don't worry old man we will be ok.  Seems like they had a death wish or something.

I may be cold but sounds like it was fixed. Reminds me of one of them funny ecards. Said " I'm not saying lets kill all the stupid people, I'm dying the warning labels off and just let the problem sort itself out"

And here's a tragic story from today which really enforces my previous post

Looks like natural selection took care of things there.

My local 8 movie cinema has state police in the lobby when teen oriented movies are  playing.
