I can’t understand why the Discovery Channel isn’t doing a reality series involving my bird feeder –

Squirrel Dynasty.

It’s just Varmint Madness out there . . . . .

I do have a Sweet Gamo w/Scope, and have used it on occasion, with superior effectiveness I might add.

But as long as they remain away from & out of my Home (attic) they are safe.

If not . . . .  there is carnage.

A semi auto 22 with tracer rounds would be sweet!

.17 HMR my friend....17 HMR. Better ballistics than the .22 and more accurate. The main downside is that it's more expensive, but also more available. I've been thinking about getting the A17 since I'm a semi auto guy.

If you invite Raider up, I'm sure he can make a nice hat for you.

From useful tips he got on that knitting forum?

I read that he's already up here somewhere for a Motor Bike Festival.

Do you think he could incorporate a TW logo into that bad boy ?

Never shot one, but I love 22 since I have nailed  a groundhog in one ear and it came out the other(true story) happened at about 50 yds to!

I've shot a Savage bolt action .17. They're sweet rifles. Shot a rat at about 25 meters with it. I'd never seen a rat fly before that day. Shot him right through the lower part of the rib cage. Keep in mind, I'm a horrible shot because of my shaking problem. As far as .22's, I love them. Have an S&W M&P15-22 and a Heritage Rough Rider. Love the S&W. I like the Heritage, but I have to tighten the push rod guard constantly.

I ran some heavy weight chicken wire around my wife's bird feeders and it worked until....  I came home from work and there were two squirrels caught in the wire.  I decided they weren't going anywhere so I went inside to take a nap and when I came back out the birds decided to feast on the squirrels.  It was pretty gross and freaked out the neighbors.  I got out the water hose and scared the birds away.  I cleaned up the mess and went to the drawing board.  I have yet to come with a better solution.  Those furry rats are persistent.

I am not looking for Eradicate the local squirrel population.

I don't even mind them sharing in the seed, there's plenty to go around.

You see, we have an understanding, the squirrels & I.

They stay out of my stuff and I will not put a pellet in thiers.

Those black squirrels are cool and illegal to shoot or harass here.

On a side note, reading the call logs the other day while I was holding over until noon to see what was going on around the county. A lady actually called 911 because she had a squirrel in her front yard and wanted us to come do something about it because she was afraid it would bite someone  :tard:

I bet she would have had a heart attack if an officer would have shown up and shot the thing.
