Lure Diversity!

Featured Replies

I have mainly crankbaits, spinnerbaits, frogs, and some soft plastics... What else would be good for the tackle box? I like to fish heavy cover and mainly shallow because I don't have a fish finder BTW...lakes I fish are usually clear to stained water.

Vibrating jigs have been a welcome addition for me in that type of water.

Chatter baits, Rage Blade & a Scrounger.

I started using the strike king "King Shad" and its awesome. All I fish is shallow heavy cover water and it runs really shallow and right over the grass out here.

No votes for jerk baits? Rapalas, Rogues, Long A's will catch fish all summer long.

Also poppers and a Jitterbug or two......

I'd add a few topwaters, including a hollow body frog. There's nothing more fun than seeing and hearing a nice bass blow up on your topwater.

If you like fishing shallow, stained water you have to have some bladed jigs, jigs, and buzzbaits.

I love suspending jerkbaits in the spring and fall so I'd have to agree with that suggestion too.

By "some" soft plastics, what do you mean? If you haven't had a chance to check out any Rage Tail products yet, you need some in your life. Trust me, they are staples in my tackle box and have caught most of my big fish this year. I'd start with some Rage Craws and Cut'R worms, amazing products.

Lots of top water. Day in and day out I catch more Bass and bigger Bass on top water.

I´m sorry if if sound like an arse hole but not fishing deep because you don´t have a depth finder is a very really sad excuse for not doing it.

If only he knew somewhere to get bladed jigs and jigs!!!

I have to agree that a couple of chatterbaits would be the first addition. Mix in a few jigs and a Spook.

bladed jigs for sure.

My go to answer for every thing: BEEF JERKY!  Oh wait, you need my secondary answer for everything,  FROGS!

JERKBAITS! You can get them in both deep and shallow versions, and in clear water you almost can't beat them!

Lol by shallow I mean down to 10 feet. I'm not steady in 2 foot of water

as some of the others have mentioned, topwater can be pretty versatile as well as jigs. just add a few different lures and techniques slowly and you will figure it out as you go.

Walk the Dog with your favorite stick bait. My favorite is the Spook and Zara Puppy. Strikes are exhilarating.
