ALX offers a toad/ frog rod.. It's a 4.5 power. Blanks are made in the USA $219 and Japan $150 I'm talking with them again tomorrow. Going to pull the trigger. The company is located in S. Carolina.

I'm going to pass on a Dobyns..

Check out the ALX website..

My frog rod is an Ethos micro guide rod from Academy. It's a 7' 3" H/F that cost me $60 on sale. You don't need anything fancy for a frog, as long as it loads to cast the bait and has the backbone to get the fish out. It's been a great frog rod though.

St.croix mojo Slop-n-frog can be had for less than $100. I got one & love it.

Have you guys fished the Fury Series? How are they?

I have the Fury 735. I like it a lot. Flex/taper is very similar to their higher end offerings, just heavier (not heavy mind you ). Great for frogs and paddle tail type swimbaits.

One of the sales guys at Cabela's recommended the MoJo rod to me. He had very high praise for the rod.
