Well, today was proof enough for me that weather outpowers the Celestial Heavens! Big cool down going on up here and absolutely clear bluebird skies=very slow day. 3 of us got maybe 20 each in about 6 hrs; slow day for these waters. O hope the rest of you did better than us.

Oh, and no DD either.....

I caught a HUGE bluegill and three bass in maybe an hour of fishing.  All with the fly rod, on a small bass bug.  The fishing was above average for that pond, I don't know if it was the "Cow Moon" or not.

somebody report if they see the blood moon please... i'd definitely be curious to know

I had to bring my 5 year old home, he has school tomorrow, and it's raining.  Oh well.  At least we went out earlier.

This day proved no different than any other.

a buddy and i went out and it was pretty windy, but overall no different fishing than any other day.  dink city though, mostly all 1lb or less.

I'm taking the new yak out this morning. I got to watch the eclipse before work and the bright moon while I was at work. Now it looks like a bluebird sky day out that will probably prove to be pretty sorry fishing but I'm still going  :respect-059:

The weather here sucked and I had to work last night so I didn't miss a thing.

Fished yesterday before the supermoon.  Scarcely saw any fish life and didn't catch anything at all!  Pleh!  Boo super moon!

A couple of "Moon" bass.

Nothing huge for me but the bass were actively chasing bait. I did see one werewolf with a chinese menu in his hand.  :laugh5:

Really nice bass. What did you catch them on?

A 5" stickbait soft plastic (NetBait Salt Lick in Black Blue Flake) texas rigged with a pegged 3/16th ounce sinker.

It was "video game" fishing as I could see the bass near bottom in 27 - 28 feet of water on my Humminbird. I needed something to get down to the bottom quick as the wind was a blowing and I was fishing from my kayak. The presentation, despite the light weight, knifes down very well. I would bounce it up and down off the bottom and I was one hand paddling to slow my drift through the area they were holding.

I caught about 40 Saturday on a Cavitron and a War Eagle spinnerbait, went to the same location today and caught about 40 on a chatterbait, it's probably the most ridiculous bite I've ever been on.....Go pro footage will be up in the near future.
