My Lews BB2 Speed Spool and my Daiwa Squeaks when i reel line in when fishing. Idk what the problem is, is it the bearings? Been like this for a month and cant find the problem. Thanks

No hands on experience with the Lews but with my Shimano's, when I hear a little squeaking sound when reeling, I put a drop of Bantam Oil on a Q Tip and I rub it around the brake drum and the squeaking goes away. Before I posted this, I looked up your reel and I saw that it has Centrifugal Brakes too so it's worth a try.

Could be any number of contact points. The cent brake drum is a good guess. The spool raceway in the frame is a possibility. Email me off line for a couple other things to check.

Sqeaky usually means a knob or 2 needs some rem oil just a tiny drop will do it

Yea there is. I just dont know why its squeaking. Not sure but i am trying all your guys methods.

Ok so i tried doing the Cent. Brakes. and its not the problem. It sounds like its coming from inside the reel.

It happens on both my Daiwa and My Lews

Yea i tried everything.. Lol its from in the reel. Maybe my Anti Reverse. I have no clue. but it doesnt affect my casting or anything. its just really annoying to hear it while fishing aha.

I've never had a lews or daiwa open, but I would assume it's unlikely it's coming from inside the reel. In my experiences the squeak is usually always a contact point from the spool or the worm gear/levelwind. Take the spool out and reel. If it stops making noise you know it has to do with the spool or the bearings it makes contact with.

DVT, sorry for pulling an old post.  The spool raceway?  I got an annoying faint squeak I'm trying to find.  Do I add a little oil along the raceway after cleaning the surface?  Also, what about polishing the two spool lips/edges? How much grease between the frame and the drag star area where the washers () sit on the shaft?  I've seen some pics of people really loading it up there and on the drive shaft.  The reel wasn't squeaking until after I cleaned and greased it.  The handle is not the problem I've already taken that off and it still squeaks.  

Don't mess the spool they're too delicate. You can try a real light drop of oil on the spool rim but I avoid that as it will almost always slow the spool down. Try some grease on the main shaft where the AR sleeve rides. Factories over lube to such a degree it's not uncommon for some sound to appear when they're cleaned out. I can't say if its normal or not without seeing it. 

@cottny27 did you ever get your problem fixed?  I just cleaned 3 different reels and have the exact same slight squeak on all 3 of them.

Not fully if I can remember and I ended up getting rid of the reel. 

Ok here's my trick.clean reel then spray ptfe on all parts that need lube then let dry and oil and grease as usual.ive gotten rid of noises I couldn't figure out that way.
