Hello From Iowa... Thoughts On Weight?

Featured Replies

Hi all.. Mike from IA.  Have gotten more serious about fishing over the past few months.  This site is great and has been very helpful.

Caught this one today... any thoughts on weight?  Did not have a tape or scale.  18" tall cooler for refrence (cooler for beer, fish is still swimming!)  Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums!

Mike I also don't have ruler or scale so I use this quite a lot to est weight.  For size I take picture of fish next to rod, and measure that distance on rod at home then use this scale I found on line:

I have a 15" mark on rod and use that as guide as well.
