I bet all 4 were longshots at the beginning of the season. The so-called "experts" only predicted the Royals to win 72 games.....

Exactly. End it tomorrow night. Let Cueto pitch game one of the World Series at HOME. If he doesn't perform there, He has to go, and I mean AS SOON AS HE SEEMS LIKE HE IS IN TROUBLE!!!.

Wild game 6. It really came down to KC's bullpen. Herrera and Davis are basically unhittable. Price pitched pretty well after he settled in. I really wanted to see a W for him mainly because I can't stand that punk Yordano Ventura. About as classless as they come.

I can't stand that punk Yordano Ventura. About as classless as they come.

Couldn't disagree more. He is a young kid that had the weight of the season thrown on him. He had to find himself, and settle into the team as a family. This kid is gonna be around a long time, hopefully in kc.

Have you seen his antics this year, most notably the whole thing with Eaton and the White Sox? Yeah he's young, but that doesn't excuse his attitude towards anyone else. He's a punk if you ask me lol

Ventura has had about 5 incidents this year in which he started a problem. This pretty much sums it up. 

 

He even tried to start a fight with Tulowitski in game 6 because he stepped out of the batters box! The guy is a total punk with a bad attitude.

Ventura has done a lot of growing up this year and turned into the pitcher he was suppose to be. He's also young and plays with a lot of fire, he made some bad decisions earlier in the year out of frustration. I think maybe some of the veteran players have calmed him down, maybe pointed out how much better he plays when he doesn't let himself get emotional. 

 

The Jays have a reputation for stealing signs. The accusations were flying this series, even of there possibly being someone in the stands signaling batters when it was going to be a fastball when Cueto was pitching. My understanding was Ventura felt they were trying to do it against him and it upset him, can't really be mad at him for being upset about that. He didn't throw at him, not sure that staring at someone can be qualified as trying to start a fight. Lots of pitchers out there will stare a batter down when they do something they don't like. How about the Blue Jays first base coach mouthing off to Ventura?? I guess he's just suppose to let him do that?

He not only stared Tulowitski down after screaming a certain word, but he also started walking toward him. The umpire had to tell him to get moving. That is literally trying to start a fight over nothing except Tulo stepping out of the box. And the Jays first base coach thing, OF COURSE he said something to him. Why wouldn't he after Ventura tryed to start a fight over nothing?? By the looks of it, he said something along the lines of "stop staring and get moving" which is exactly what Ventura should have been doing. Everybody knows if you glare at someone while walking towards them, you are looking for a problem. I know he's the hometown kid and everything, but come on. He is a punk with a bad attitude. You can't possibly say the whole thing with Eaton and the Sox was just him "playing with emotion".

Other than Yordano "the Punk" Ventura, (see what I did there?   ), congrats to the Royals on getting back to the WS. 

And don't worry Royals fans; as much as I can't stand Ventura, I like Sal Perez. He is just a gritty player who is behind the plate every day. His attitude is good and he can really handle the lumber, as most of the Royals can.

Come on guys, I know he's your hometown kid like I said. But to defend him and his behavior regardless of what team he is on is pretty wacky. It has nothing to do with his talent or the "pitcher" that he is. I'm talking about his disgraceful attitude and antics towards other players. How do you defend him screaming "F*** YOU!" and walking towards the batter who hits a comebacker to him? Playing with emotion? Nah, that is the behavior of a punk. But I guess only in professional sports does a 25 year old man get nothing but an "immature" or "emotional" label for cursing at other players and trying to start fights.

 

"haters gonna hate" is funny. I'm a die hard fan of the entire game of baseball, and I have no dog in this fight so I have no reason to simply "hate" Ventura. I understand hometown bias, but to defend him is pretty silly.

I gotta agree with Jar11591 on this one. Ventura has always seemed to me like a thug.

Totally agree. Welcome to baseball. If Ventura was such and uncontrollable "punk", trust me... donaldson would have gotten drilled. Bad blood between the royals and him... Oh well, on to the mets now.
