Great Northern Pike And Muskie Blade Baits?

Has anyone used the larger pike & Muskie blade baits for bass? Larger inline spinners & spinnerbaits?

Do you think these larger baits will work?

I used to catch some nice bass while targeting musky with bucktails. Got one over 6 on a Hawg Wobbler from my favorite small lake a few years back. Musky secret got out and fishing declined. Still get one now and then but while targeting bass. Answer to your question is yes. Bucktails will catch bass, usually larger ones but I think there are better options. If you mean Silver Buddy type bladebbaits, I have no experience. Trolling large Spoonplugs was a method the produced several 40" + muskies and several large bass. Somehow got away from that. You got me thinking now.

I've been busy catching pike and musky on bass baits...

...they work consistently around here, often equaling or out-producing "musky" baits.

All but 2 of the muskie I've every caught have been while fishing for bass. The very first was slow rolling a 1oz Teminator spinnerbait through a stump field.

Too many people make the mistake of changing their mentality while fishing for pike and muskies. While fishing the very same waters for bass while matching the hatch you'll fish a 3"-4" bait. The most predominate sized bait in the lake, yet when targeting pike and muskies in the very same waters will then throw a 6"-8" bait and wonder why they aren't catching anything. If the predominate bait size is 3"-4" for bass then it would be the very same for pike and Muskie. All three fish have the same ability to eat the same size bait.

I have used an oversized 1.5 oz "Muskie" spinnerbait while fishing for bass. It's a black on black bait and is a vibration machine. Makes the big girls hungry at night.

Guess I misread it the first time. Yes, big muskie spinners and buzzbaits will work for bass, and not just big ones.
