Bass Resource member and friend Eric (SoFlaBassAddict) passed away yesterday from a heartattack.   I had a couple of oppurtunities to not only fish with Eric, but talk Heat basketball throughout the years and I am thankful for the memories.  I will never forget a trip Eric and I had fishing Lake Okeechobee's worm cove where I sprained my wrist setting up on a Hawg, we had a great fishing trip that day and landed some chunks.   Rest in peace Eric and thanks for the memories!

This is horrible..horrible news. He was active on this site. I remember his avatar with the giant peacock bass. I enjoyed his Everglades reports. My condolences to his friends and family. So sad...

My condolences. His avatar was very recognizable with that big pea. Enjoyed his insights and reports when he posted. Prayers to his family and friends.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Eric, his family, and his friends during this difficult time.

My condolences go out to his family. I know nobody knows me here as I rarely post, but I met Eric on another website's live chat (Bassholes). We lost touch over the last 3 or 4 years as that site imploded. We always planned on fishing together down in Pembroke pines, but never got around to it. I never actually met the man, but I got the feeling he was a good guy. Chit! Life is short guys! Don't wait for tomorrow! As I understand, he was special forces. Shoulda been in pretty good shape, but ya never know when your time is up. His family will probably never even see this??? God bless you, Eric. I'll forever be sorry that I never got to meet you. Life sucks sometimes..........

Rest in Peace

Man that comes as a shock! Eric was a cool fella. RIP

So sad. RIP.

How awful! I enjoyed his posts, too. He was in his 30's, according to his profile! You never now what's just around the corner in life, so fish when you can -- and get a check up and a cardiac stress test.
