I'm looking for the best line for spinning gear only not interested in braid. I'm gonna try the Yozuri hybrid. Also looking at trying the McCoy mean green too.

Sunline sniper or seaguar invisz

Honestly braid is the only way to go when it comes to my spinning reels.

 

EDIT: If I HAD to pick a line, I'd use 6lb YZ Hybrid or 7/8lb FC Sniper. Definitely use some line conditioner when putting any non-braid on.

Yo #6 is plenty soft for spinning as is Pline CXX In 6. It's what I use and I have no regrets.

I've always been happy with 8lb Trilene XL

Gamma is the best line I have ever used on spinning gear!

I use braid mainly but have one spinning rod set up with 8lb yozuri super soft and it has done really well for me.  it is actually almost convincing me to change out my other primary spinning rod to it as well but i do love braid for weightless soft plastics.

Berkley Trilene XL! 

If cost doesn't bother you then its Tatsu or Sniper. If it does Yo Zuri for sure.

Give 18 or 24lb Gliss a try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I use spinning gear 70% of the time. Own 6 spinning set ups and if im not using PP I have either invizx or trilene big game. I enjoy both and they are pretty easy on the wallet.

Plan on giving Yo Zuri Hybrid a try this year.

From what I'm reading you'll probably want to find Mccoy mean green too. Read the reviews on TW. It's pretty hard to find though. I found Yozuri also on Ebay and Amazon.

I had horrible results with big game on spinning reels a couple of years ago. Too much memory and the line develop kinks.

Went back to Stren original and was happy again.

If cost is an issue, and it sounds like it is.  Then go with mono. Mono is much easier to work with than flourocarbon.

8lb Sufix elite or Trilene XL

 

For me memory is more critical on a spinning reel than on a baitcast reel.  Big Game is good line, but I don't think I would use it on a spinning reel.  I use 8# on a baitcast reel,  and do okay with it.  Especially once I've made a few casts.  I like Trilene XL and Sufix Elite, but I haven't tried many lines on spinning reels since I seldom use one.

Because of line memory, I feel a softer line works better for me.  I realize many love braid for spinning.  I have braid on two of my spinning reels, but prefer a mono or co-polymer....same as for my baitcast reels.

 

P line cxx in 6lb plenty strong and inexpensive.

8lb sunline sniper, seaguar invisx, or suffix elite if you want mono.

Not a fan of Hi Seas but Black Widow is very supple and manages well on spinning. Harder to find but it seems all the better mono's meant for spinning are.  Fishin' Fool, what do you have on the reels already?  You could use it as backing and topshot with a better line saving yourself some $ making the supply last longer.

8# trilene xl and don't look back, way less memory than suffix elite from my experiences

8 lb P-Line Fluorocarbon has been my go-to spinning line for the past several years.  I have been using Power Pro Super Slick 8 this spring and I love the sensitivity.
