Painted Ned rig jigheads

Featured Replies

What's everyone's favorite color of jigheads for Ned rigging, and does it make any difference?

I use GP and it doesn't make a difference in my mind. I'd have no problem using pink lol. Or unpainted.

I pretty much only use chartreuse, flo. red and black - but no, I honestly don't believe it makes a difference.

I don´t care even a little bit, for me they could be bare lead, what matters is the presentation.

I mainly use red, chartreuse, pink, and candy purple. I honestly don't think it makes a bit of difference, but it makes me feel a little better.

Seriously doubt the fish care. This battered example had about 60 fish to it's credit and the plain lead was about falling off the hook.

Since the head with the weedguard from Z Man only come in two colors, I use black and pumpkin. Don't think it makes no difference really.

no longer than they last you might as well fingernail polish them.

I prefer chart ruse or bright red, but that is so I can see it better in the water and more easily work it around snags.  Plus it is always cool to see your lure get hit.  I love it when I can see the little chartreuse head flicking through the water, then suddenly it is gone and a second later I feel the hit.

Now that´s an excellent reason to have a really bright colored painted jighead for use in clear water ( cuz in muddy water ain´t gonna do any difference at all ).

doesn't matter to me, the paint wears off leaving bare lead anyway.
