Made an offer, I'll find out tomorrow if my offer is accepted.

It's brand new. :)

I am 55 have owned a lot of boats.  New and used, I have 3 right now.  Bass Boat and two ski boats.  I buy them when they are ready for the farm and strip them down to the floor and rebuild them.  When I am done I sell them unless I feel they are a better boat then what I have now.

With that said, I have also owned brand new boats, nothing like getting a new boat or car I guess for that matter.  They run great they smell great and they look very cool.

Now that I have rebuilt several and know how easy it is I dont think I would but a new one again.  If cash is no option then I would just throw 40-60k out there and get a new one just for the fun of it.  I met a guy, 30's out at the lake the other week. He had a brand new boat with all the trimmings.  I asked what he paid for it and he did not answer but to tell me 700 a month.  That is why I dont buy new.  I use mine a lot. Few times a week as long as the weather is good.  For me that payment, even with being able to afford it, does not make sense to me.

Lots of great used boats out there that could last for years to come.  But if you have already bought it congrats.  I know the feeling of bringing home a new boat or going out on the lake the first time it is a great feeling, enjoy!

Not a fan of the 522D.  Too deep.

Well the deal is done.  now I just need to get it shipped out to CA.  I owe someone on this site a beer.   They posted a link to this boat several months back.  The seller was not willing to lower his price.  Patience paid off.  I got a steep discount.   Probably the last 2016 Z522 that was available with the 300 Racing Mercury motor and brand spanking new.  In pretty much the exact color combination I was looking for.

It's a Ranger, so the owner will tell you 75, but gps is no more than 50. :P

(Sorry, Bullet owner joke, lol)

For the record, I'm perfectly fine putzing around the lake at 50. :)

I'd actually be curious what you get, with what prop, and setup.  I bet she does low 70s, easy.  Drop back to 50, and save a ton in gas.  That's how mine works.  32 GPH @ WOT, or go a month without refilling driving wisely.  There's some benefit to high power. ;)

My last boat was nearly identical.  Cruised at 50ish all day long.  WOT was low 70's.

Fast enough.  My Bullet is actually set up for fast hole shots, and low plane speed.  It's a low/mid 70s boat this way, too. I did put a monster prop on her, raised the motor 1.75" above pad, and got her up to 85, but it took forever to plane, and she was not fun to drive at lower speeds.

Beautiful boat, man - congrats.

Now to find the correct 4 blade prop.  Boat comes with a 3 blade.

Trophy Plus  27. Have Croxton make it nice for you. Cup it and plug it!

Trophy Plus 27 is rated for motors up to 225, I'm running the 300 3.2 stroker.

Well I think I've found a company to haul my boat.  Hope to have it by next weekend.
