  1. I like the Vanford 2000 and you can put 8 lb test mono on it. It’s between the 1000 and the 2500.
  2. Does the size of the spool (spinning) have anything to do with line management? Example, line still coming off after the cast was made or loops? Just something to think about. 1000 or 2500 size spool?
  3. Sad part is I’m looking for a couple of mid to high end rods. Either one not in stock till Jan/Feb. ?
  4. Ok, this will sound goofy so here it goes. I have a 25hp Yamaha tiller prop job in the rear of my 16’ Bass Tracker Grizzly tin bot. I had something vibrating at low rpm’s. Similar to your noise. It went away as I gave it gas. I tightens every bolt, screw, motor mounts, and any nock and cranked I could find. Next trip out it was gone. just say’in.
  5. I usually have one of each tied on and let the fish tell me what’s on the menu for that day.
  6. Just say “no”.
  7. You know fishing own’s you when,,,,,,, your skunked at the end of the day and still look forward to fishing tomorrow. That’s me, and I’m in my 70’s. A lot of water has passed under that bridge.
  8. Rick Clunn. Him and I have something in common, getting older and still putting time in on the water.
  9. I use three soft plastic baits: A tube Another tube And sometimes a different color tube. That about covers my smallie presentations.
  10. 2500, good size for line management. 6 & 8 lb test.
  11. I’d go white. Let that bad boy 200 set center stage.
  12. I “had” the same knuckle problem. But it was many years ago. I think they changed this about the time the Stradic was out. The bail kept hitting my knuckles. You might still be using old spinners. Just say’in.
  13. I believe a Bass swallows a bluegill head first. The gill just slides down to the stomach. That’s what I’m think’in anyway.
  14. I have two rods there. I called them twice and they told me someone will get back to me in about a week. It’s been over a month and no call back. They said they were swamped. I hope they have the replacement rods in stock once they get around to my situation. As a rule their CS is great. Right now, not so much.
  15. Ok, I lost interest.
  16. On line size. Then there is the A-rig. Here comes a wire basket towards their face and they still ignore it for the goodies that are following. Just say’in.
  17. Get the biggest you can afford. You do not have to use your top speed all the time, but it’s nice to have if you need it.
