  1. CI4+ 2500, 7.0oz. I like light.
  2. Stradic ci4+ Light and very little line management problem's.
  3. A place to start would be to look at your reel and rod. Each one will have a line size recommendation. Let's say a 2500 size spinning reel could read 6-8-10 lb. test. Now a rod will usually have just two number's, 6-12 lb. test. I try to stay within these parameters to get the most out of my equipment. Keep in mind that these are put in place by the manufacture as a guide.
  4. If the boat does not leak and the TM and gas motor are in great shape, go for it.
  5. It's all I use. They work.
  6. ??????????????
  7. Good luck. I live in Lancaster Co. I could help you some with Safe Harbor. I just use mono and fish from Safe Harbor down to the Holtwood dam. Depending on where you put in, you might not have to go far to catch fish. I haven't been there this year yet, so let me know how you make out.
  8. Put me down for the BPS Stik-o's. They work for me and are cheap.
  9. It's your hobby. Hobby's make you feel good. To me it's time away from every day life. If it ain't take'in groceries' off the table, go for it.
  10. Check over on Susquehanna Fishing Tackle. They have a jig head like this. I think it has a wire keeper that comes back to the barb on the hook making it very snag proof.
  11. Stopped in at my (45 mile's, one way) local BPS. Three things on my list. #1 & #2 were sold out. I was told #3 is not carried in the store anymore. I got tired of looking at all their branded stuff and empty peg boards, so I left.
  12. Sounds like gooboly goop to me.
  13. 2500 Better line control. Bigger spool, less line issues.
  14. It's tough to give a "speed difference". On any given boat it would be different. A 12' tin boat would be different than a 18' glass boat as far a weight. Will you notice a difference in your boat with a 80lb TM, yes. In a 18' glass boat, yes, but not as much. A full gas tank and a couple of tackle bags and a fishing buddy will make a difference. Too many variables to come up with a "speed difference".
  15. If you have to ask if it is ok to do something on the shady side then the answer has to be "NO".
  16. Eastern PA Ice Fishing Tournaments Jan/Feb 2016 www.pahardwater.com Best I can do. I am really not a hard water fisherman.
  17. Spread your thumb and your pinky finger as far apart as you can on your hand. Measure that distance. Mine measures 9". Not perfect but good in a pinch.
  18. I have a similar switch in my boat, The peace of mind it gives me is well worth the installation. Some will say they never disconnect their batteries and some will say they always do. Install it and your covered.
  19. Vicky Nelson, helped me on a return.
  20. When I had my glass boat they stayed in. Now on my tin boat, it bounce's around a bit depending on the road so I take them out. Less than a minute for some peace of mind.
