  1. Life is good.
  2. 2 3/4” Tube. Maybe it’s because I throw that most of the time.
  3. If the dealer gave me a discount it would still bother me. I would pass on that one.
  4. Welcome aboard from Lancaster County Pa.
  5. I asked for a store manager once at BPS and once at Cabelas. The associates are limited as to their discision making. Both times the respective store manager worked out my situation to my benefit. Like “volzfan” said, there is always a 800 number. Do not take no for an answer till you have exhausted your options.
  6. BPS likes to sell BPS stuff. I like to buy higher end stuff. As a rule I like to check it out in hand, and if it’s for me I will buy it. The person behind the counter tells me, we can order it for you! Gee, why didn’t I think of that before I left home? “Dah”. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy going to BPS, but when I go on line I can usually find it cheaper than BPS.
  7. Store brand rod, maybe. Other manufacture, probably not. Having a recite means everything on a return.
  8. I do not have this boat but the connector should be the same as my 25hp motor. My connector snaps in flush. It makes a solid click sound when snapped together. In your picture there is a slight gap in the connection. Just more info to put on the pile.
  9. Ok, I have about 1200 lbs. of tin boat sitting on my trailer. My tires state 60 lbs. max. Do I still have to put 60 lbs. in them? I believe at highway speeds my trailer would be doing some serious bouncing around.
  10. If my memory servers me, they send me a return label, and the new rod came in a tube to send the broken one back, and they had a return label to go back. So take that $100.00 and subtract the two postage’s and tube and that equals a bargain for a new rod. It’s been a long time since I send one in. Could of changed by now. just say’in
  11. Yes, I read it on the internet.
  12. Think about this. When you mail a rod, it is now in the position of the USPS. It stays in their position till the carrier deliveres it. Now you can buy insurance from them in the hopes that they do not do damage to the rod. It seams that they do not have confidence in their handling system.
  13. Good thread. I’m looking a couple my self.
  14. This equipment is spread around to various youth groups. Future anglers. You really should keep your, broken, non working gear at home. An employee is “suppose” to inspect your offering before they give you your coupon.
  15. Team Fish-On
  16. To me it’s not how much it costs. It’s, how does the rod feel in my hand, is the reel seat comfortable, does the rod balance feel good, is the rod light. This all matters to me. When I try rods at retailers, I always bring my reel, a Ci4+. I try not to look at the price tag until I fish the rod around the shop. Poor way to judge a rod but it works for me. I fished nice stuff when I fished tournaments and I still fish nice stuff. It’s my hobby.
  17. Your backing first than knot to your braid than knot to leader than knot to your lure.
  18. Yes, I'm 71 and have met some real nice "sharing" people in my travels. About five years ago a guide was coming off the water as I was putting in. I asked how he did and he not only shared info but gave me a couple swim baits that were working for him. So yes I share, I even have given a few soft plastic baits to fellow anglers. Especially young anglers when I'm on the water. It's a great feeling.
  19. I unplug mine. A trolling motor shop recommended it. They see the good the bad and the ugly, so I went with it. Isn't there an old Clint Eastwood movie in there somewhere?
  20. You should be able to find it on their site. Or just call them.
  21. Next time head up river (Lancaster Co. side) towards the Norman Wood bridge. Some great smallies action can be had if the timing is right.
  22. Two screws does it for me. Before you add the second screw make sure it is in a comfortable spot.
