I picked up a few Spinnerbaits at Walmart and i have seen that you use a trailer hook when fishing these baits, how should i fish it and what size hook do i use for a trailer?

You don't have to use a trailer hook, I rarely do unless I'm targeting smallies, spotted bass, or in cold water.

I normally use a trailer (like a Zoom Super Chunk), but almost never do I use a trailer hook on spinnerbaits.

 As you can see, there is no "one" correct answer

Trailer hooks frequently depend upon how much or how heavy of cover you are throwing the bait into and around, while trailers are more personal preference, though do get the nod for larger profiles (in murky water) or slower retrieves (like at night - more bulk creates more drag in the water). Try both and see what works best for you on your waters.

I use two, same company, same color. 4" Mister Twister, Twister Tail and the 4" split double tail. Chartreuse. 

I never use a trailer and I never use a trailer hook, I find the bass doesn't usually get hooked with the trailer hook. 

I usually throw a plain white booyah spinnerbait, no trailer hook, and no trailer, which has been the method that has worked best for me. However If I am throwing a different spinnerbait with maybe a longer skirt, due to specific conditions, I will add a trailer hook and very rarely a trailer, like a grub or small paddle tail. Honestly I see it as personal preference and a confidence thing for the most part.

LOL, I was waiting to read this comment from someone.

I don't use a trailer hook on my spinner baits, it is pretty much all personal preference.

I will use a trailer hook unless fishing in grass and weeds. A 1/0 needle point hook held on by a piece of tubing is the way to go.

Keep in mind that a spinnerbait does fairly well in weeds because the arm and blade protects the hook. Trailer hooks will definately help catch finicky bass but is prone to becoming more hung up.
