Soft Plastic Recycling

I've been thinking of melting mine down and making big ol ugly worms lol

I save mine in a 5 gallon bucket and trade them for a few hand pours with local guys.

There was a Facebook page awhile back that would actually pay you a small amount for your used plastics, but it must have failed because I haven't heard from it in over a year. Either way my dad and I still store our used plastics in a big collection until we find a good use for them. I don't throw my used plastics in the lake to dispose of them

I made a plaster of paris mold and use too melt my old baits  and make new ones . I havent done that for many years .

I know a couple of guys that pour. I save mine and turn them over to them once or twice a year. They usually make small swimbaits out of them and their most productive color is usually the mishmash that develops when mixing a whole bunch of different colored baits into one.

I've been saving all my busted up plastics for doing this during the winter time, since I won't be able to fish here in Missouri. I'm hoping they turn out well. Kinda wondering how bad the smell is gonna be from melting them down. The lady won't be happy if I stink up her microwave :P
