Yea he looked like a young Tom Brady playing against the equivalent of a high school JV team. He beat the Browns not the Vikings. I'm gonna wait till I see him play against a real team. Not an 0-5 team.

In a couple of weeks the Patriots will be coming to Steeler Town ~  That will be a Game.

Week 7. I got it marked on my calendar.

That game will probably come down to which defense plays better honestly, as both Ben and Brady are both capable of torching any defense that's not bringing their A-game. I believe the Pats pass defense is ranked slightly higher at the moment but we'll see. Definitely one of if not the toughest game on the Pat's calendar this year.

If it comes down to defense the Pats will win. The Steelers were 30th in defense before this weeks game. Even bad offenses can get over 300 yards off their secondary. Not to mention the fact that they are 25th in the league in sacks.

I can't believe how far the Panthers have fallen from last year. It would be nice to see the Vikings or Falcons make a superbowl run on the NFC side of things.

The Vikings really remind me of the Broncos last season.  A serviceably QB, not an offensive juggernaut, but really good defense and special teams.  Seriously, how many thought the Vikings would be 5-0 after Teddy got hurt and Adrian went down in week 2.

 Haha

Maybe dabs will help their QB work out those arm muscles to throw less end-zone interceptions

Exactly what I was thinking. More of a defensive team with the bare minimum on offense. If they get to the SB you will start seeing more teams focusing on defense.

It's definitely been done before. Quick, anyone remember the Ravens QB when they won the SB in 2001?

Most SB winners have a good or elite QB but in this era of QB play being down across the board it could happen again. Peyton Manning is gone, Eli is old and trending down. Brees' team sucks around him. Same with Rivers. Matt Ryan probably has the best chance of taking a loaded offensive team all the way this year. But those Vikings sure look stout, and Bradford is playing well. Brady and the Pat's look better than ever. Not sure what to make of Pittsburgh, Denver, Seattle, QB Eagles or GB yet. Dallas could also be a dark horse if they don't try to bring Glass Joe Romo back.

Shout out to the chargers for their win last night

Yeah, they really looked solid. But somehow still almost lost after dominating the game. First Charger game I've watched this year but I didn't expect them to look so good especially on defense.

NO!!!!!!  What happened to the broncos?!!  I don't know if kubiak being gone made the difference, but if they should not have lost to the chargers even without Kubiak.

In 3 games Bradford has:
990 Yards
70% completion rate
6td
0 Picks
2nd in passer rating...

Thats a little better than serviceable in my eyes.

Oh Kubiak being gone made a huge difference. I'm sure Broncos fans are wishing him a speedy recovery.

They are excellent numbers but I don't think he's going to go from what he was to an elite QB just like that, I doubt he will sustain that high level of play as the season goes on. But we'll see, let him surprise me.

You never know, the guy was a #1 pick and coming off a of a bad shoulder injury. His first years were with an absolutely terrible offense, playing 6 games a year against the Seahawks, Cards and 49ers defenses. Also how many times has he torn his ACL(s)? Then with the Eagles it was at the end of the Chip Kelly experiment already failing. How he didn't end up blind in one eye with one leg starting for the Browns by now is mind boggling. You gotta pull for the guy, and so far he looks like he still has something left.

He played very well last year with the worst receivers as far as drops go in the league.  I was bummed when he was traded but who wouldn't take a first and as high as a second for him.  He is in a system and situation that is perfect for him right now and has zero pressure on him.  I hope he does well every week except week 7....

Haha, sorry, I'm not disagreeing but I just found it funny after hearing all of last year from Panther's fans..."Cam is doing this all by himself, his receivers are useless and drop more passes than any other team".

  • Super User

saying it and it being true are slightly different though lol
