Slowest swim jig trailers.

Featured Replies

In your opinion, what do you suppose would be the swim jig trailers that can operate at the slowest retrieve speeds? Slower than all others.

(Not including Kalins lunker grubs, because I know I can run those things slower than snail snot.)

Rage tail products................they move at super low speeds. The rage tail grub is my #1 swim jig trailer.

Keitech paddle tail baits.    I haven't had anything much slower than those.

Any high floatation pork rind trailer can be dead sticked and still move.

Im interested in this as well.. not too many responses. All everyone seems to use is the keitech , a grub, or rage products. Im interested in alternatives

any generic paddletail swimbait or bait with a flat surface to catch the water. If i want mine to run at super slow speeds I just boil it a bit and i can crawl my paddletails super super slow

Gambler Little EZ

lake fork magic shad, it has a paddle tail as well as the cutouts

You answered your own question and I agree with you.  Those thin tails on the Lunker Grub activate with the slightest movement. Other than the Rage Tail, it's the only one I've used.  I actually started using them as light hair jig trailer in colder water because that tail would spin on even the slowest fall.

I started using yamamoto swimming senkos and they work real good. Doesn't take much to get the paddle tail moving.

the pork trailers work well during a slow retrieve, but the zoom 3" swimming chunk gets my nod for a feisty plastic version of a slower movement trailer. I believe its one of the best swim jig trailers out there.

My favorites have been the kietech and the eco pro tungsten swing shad. Both will still kick at speeds slower than I can stand to reel.

Gene larew rally grub. It's not a normal grub and moves at the slowest speed.
