Another strategy is fishing the channel break as defined by the buoys.

For me fishing a river, without current. Is like taking a bath without water. Not a good thing for sure. But if there's no current and the winds blowing. Be sure to use it to your advantage also. Plus like you brought up the current seam. There's spots underwater that the current is lots slower then the rest. Those spots have been killer for me in years past also.

As a tidal river fisherman your video is excellent as it highlights how to fish tidal rivers.

Only thing I would add is to flip and pitch all wood, piers, docks, boathouses, pads, grass lines and bridges.
